Algoma District Services Administration Board offers a variety of services to people within the community including, child care, housing, Ontario works, and paramedic services.

The Algoma Community Legal Clinic is a law office funded by Legal Aid Ontario providing free legal advice and representation to eligible clients in certain areas of law.

Child Care Algoma offers a variety of licensed child care facilities and offers child care subsidy's through the Sault Ste. Marie District Social Services Administration Board.

Community Child Care offers supports in funding to licensed child care spaces. Along with a variety of other child care funding options.

DSSMSSAB offers a variety of assistance to individuals in Sault Ste. Marie, Prince Township, and the north such as child care, social housing, and Ontario works.

The Government of Ontario offers a variety of supports through the ministry of children and youth services, including financial supports past the early years (0-3).

Hope Air provides free flights to people who cannot afford the cost of an airline ticket to get to medical expertise or specialized medical technologies in larger urban centres.

The John Howard Society of Sault Ste. Marie offers a variety of services including anger management, housing based intensive case management, housing stability bank and more to youth and adults facing barriers to independent healthy living.

The ODSP offers income and employment supports for individuals with a disability.

Ontario Works offers financial assistance in income and employment supports.

The province of Ontario offers a variety of child care subsidies through a variety of locations in Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma. Programs available include, children with special needs, Ontario child care subsidy, and Ontario child benefit.

CAT provides financial assistance in emergency or extraordinary circumstances when there is no other resource for funding available in Sault Ste. Marie & district for their specific need.

LEAP provides assistance to pay up to $500 of the amount owing on your Hydro One bill. Up to $600 is available if your home is electrically heated.
